Oreo Beignets

These Oreo Beignets are a delightful twist on the classic beignet, featuring the iconic Oreo cookies as the star ingredient. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and filled with the familiar Oreo goodness, they make for a perfect treat for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 10 Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions:

First, preheat the oil in a deep fryer or big pot to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius

Separate the Oreo cookies and carefully remove the cream filling while the oil is heating

With the filling removed, you should have twenty Oreo halves

Combine the flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl

Whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl

Blend thoroughly

Once you have a smooth batter, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir

Make sure the Oreo halves are thoroughly coated by dipping them into the batter

After carefully dropping the coated Oreos into the heated oil, fry them for two to three minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown

The Oreo beignets should be taken out of the oil and drained of excess oil by placing them on a plate covered with paper towels

Lightly dust the Oreo beignets with powdered sugar while they're still warm

Enjoy the warm Oreo beignets after serving!
