Parmesan Kale and Sausage Pasta
Ingredients:
- 8 oz pasta
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage, casing removed
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups kale, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes optional
Instructions:
Follow the directions on the package to cook the pasta until it is al dente
Remove the water and set it aside
Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat
Break up the Italian sausage with a spoon as you add it to the pan
Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes, until it is browned and fully cooked
Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for another minute or two, until the garlic smells good
Add chopped kale and stir
Cook for three to four minutes, or until the kale wilts
Toss the cooked pasta with the sausage and kale in the pan after adding it
Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the pasta and mix it around until the cheese melts and the pasta is covered
You can add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste
Serve hot, and if you want, top with more Parmesan cheese
