Sweet Cream Waffles
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups sweet cream heavy cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the sweet cream, melted butter, and vanilla extract
Mix well
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined
Do not overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions and lightly grease it with non-stick cooking spray or butter
Pour the waffle batter onto the preheated waffle iron, using an appropriate amount for your iron's size
Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp
Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and serve immediately with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, fresh berries, or whipped cream
