Classic Pancakes



These classic pancakes are fluffy and delicious, perfect for a comforting breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt

In another bowl, beat the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract

Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined

Don't overmix; a few lumps are okay

Heat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it

Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the hot griddle

Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on both sides

Serve hot with your favorite toppings
