Milk Cookies Recipe



Indulge in these delightful milk cookies that are chewy, chocolatey, and perfect with a glass of cold milk. The combination of oats, chocolate chips, and a hint of nuttiness makes these cookies a favorite for all ages.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts optional

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt

Gradually add this dry mixture to the butter mixture and mix until just combined

Stir in the oats, milk chocolate chips, and chopped nuts if using

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely
